Ankor 147 is recommended as a general purpose corrosion protective where an oily film is required or in applications where solvent deposited protective coatings are either unsuitable or are unsafe. Once applied Ankor 147 will protect a wide variety of metals, including steel, aluminium and copper containing alloys. Application is by spraying, dipping, brushing or swabbing and the film is easily removed by wiping with a dry cloth (only recommended if the material is not required to be thoroughly degreased) or by use of white spirit, kerosene and other hydrocarbon solvents.
