The CEPSA LARUS 5040 oil provides a perfect combination of virgin paraffin-based oils and additives designed for application in 4-stroke marine diesel engines, eliminating the problems of “black sludge” formation typical of previous formulations, and with excellent oil-fuel compatibility (IFO).
Intended for use in modern 4-stroke medium-speed marine diesel engines that use residual fuels with a high sulfur content (up to 3%), the CEPSA LARUS 5040 oil, as a result of its high dispersant capacity, which prevents the formation of deposits (asphaltenes) in the engine, combined with a new family of high performance detergents, eliminates the accumulation of deposits on the piston rings and maintains a good level of cleaning in the piston cooling gallery.
