CEPSA LARUS 3040 and 3030 provide a perfect combination of virgin paraffin-based oils and additives designed for application in 4-stroke marine diesel engines, eliminating the problems of “black sludge” formation typical of previous formulations, and with excellent oil-fuel compatibility (IFO). Intended for use in modern 4-stroke medium-speed marine diesel engines that use residual fuels with a high sulfur content, the CEPSA LARUS 3040 and 3030 oils, as a result of their high dispersant capacity, which prevents the formation of deposits (asphaltenes) in the engine, combined with a new family of high performance detergents, eliminates the accumulation of deposits on the piston rings and maintains a good level of cleaning in the piston cooling gallery.
